NSBE Houston Professionals was founded in 1975. Our mission is to increase the number of culturally responsible Black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community.

Our vision extends to a future where African Americans excel in the field of engineering, not only achieving equality but surpassing it, and making substantial and impactful contributions to our world.
Our 2023 Scholarship Gala was a monumental success, awarding $30,000 in scholarships thanks to the generous contributions of our donors. Building on this momentum, our aim for 2024 is even more ambitious: to raise $50,000 to support students in the Houston area. These scholarships serve as a lifeline for students facing financial hurdles, empowering them to pursue their educational and professional dreams in engineering without the burden of financial strain.
