In celebration of Women’s History Month, NRVBA is hosting a book discussion of Revolutions by Hannah Ross, a nonfiction exploration of the history of women’s cycling and the bicycle’s role as a tool for liberation that has helped challenge gender norms, expand mobility, and reshape ideas about equality. We will have 10 copies of the book (shoutout to Blacksburg Books for helping us get these locally!) available for loan on a first-come, first-served basis. To be eligible for a loaner copy, you must be a current NRVBA member.
On Sunday, March 29, we will gather at 3pm for a discussion at Vintage Cellar in Blacksburg. The event will be offered in a hybrid format, so if you’re unable to attend in person, you’re welcome to join us via Zoom.
At the end of March, we will collect all loaner copies and donate them to public libraries across the regions represented by the NRVBA, so your participation also helps expand access to this exploration of women’s cycling as empowerment with communities across our region.
If you’d like to reserve a copy or plan to attend, please RSVP using this Google Form. https://forms.gle/ztQGc3FrCFbS3FJu6
