NRA DEFENSIVE PISTOL $165
Time: 6-7 hours Intermediate Class
Prerequisite: This class is for law-abiding adult citizens, and experienced shooters. Students must have the ability to load magazines unassisted and run your gun safely.
This is not a beginner class.
Basic gun skills are required.
The NRA Defensive Pistol Class will focus on the techniques needed to develop a defensive mindset. The goal of the course will be to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to carry and use a concealed pistol ethically, responsibly, and with confidence. You will learn ways of carrying a concealed firearm, basic principles of concealment, the difference between cover and concealment, drawing from the holster, levels of mental awareness, developing the proper mindset when using a pistol for personal protection, clearing common stoppages, use of pocket pistols, and more.
Students will receive:
NRA Guide to the Basics of Personal Protection In The Home handbook
NRA Gun Safety Rules card
Marksmanship Qualification Program booklet
NRA Defensive Pistol Certificate.
NRA Pistol Patch with Defensive Pistol I & II rockers
CFT Certificate of Completion
Requires :
Eye & Ear Protection, can be provided.
Your own reliable pistol, Revolver or Semi-Automatic of .380 cal or above, no .22s
Minimum of 150 rounds, 200 recommended.
Quality Gunbelt. (Not your casual dress belt)
Quality Strong Side Holster.
Holster MUST cover the trigger guard when the gun is holstered.
2 Spare Magazines or 3 Speedloaders (Minimum).
Concealment Garment (vest, jacket, long shirt, etc.)
