Dynamic NRA Training Counselor and instructor team will present firearms shooting basics in a fun, relaxed and comfortable environment for men and women regardless of prior experience. This course is a pre-requisite for the Pistol Instructor credentialing course. Course topics include: gun safety rules, nomenclature and operation of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols, ammunition knowledge and selection, pistol selection and storage, shooting fundamentals, pistol inspection and maintenance, marksmanship, and shooting range safety. Additionally, students will complete live fire training and a nationally standardized shooting qualification while on the range with NRA Certified Instructors. Students will receive: NRA Guide: Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, course examination, a course completion certificate and a pistol patch.
