UCSF Nowruz Gathering

Thursday, March 19th, 4:30-7:30pm

Mission Hall Lobby, UCSF Mission Bay, 550 16th St, San Francisco, CA 94158

Please join us for Nowruz at Mission Hall, UCSF Mission Bay, organized and hosted by and UCSF Pediatrics RISE Coalition.

Nowruz (or Norooz) marks the arrival of the new year and the first day of spring. It is an ancient tradition rooted in renewal, reflection, and hope. It is celebrated in many countries, including Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan.

During these difficult and uncertain times, we recognize that many in our community may be carrying complex emotions. With that in mind, this event will be a space for thoughtful gathering — an opportunity to come together through art, cultural expression, and shared presence.

We will host an art exhibition intended as a community-centered event to honor tradition, resilience, and connection in a meaningful and respectful way.

  • Open to the public
  • Free admission
  • Light refreshments will be provided

Please RSVP via Eventbrite to reserve your spot, as space is limited.
