You know the outfit. The one you bought because it was fabulous… but there has never been a single appropriate place to wear it. The sequined dress. The almost-costume. The bridesmaid gown you wore once, possibly felt hotter than the bride, and can’t wait to see again. The renaissance faire armor that deserves another night out.On March 28, Bluestocking is hosting a Nowhere to Wear It Party! It's the occasion you've been waiting for - a sparkly drink-and-browsing kind of evening where the dress code is simply wear the thing you love that has absolutely nowhere else to go. We give you permission to be playful, a little dramatic, and to feel 100% yourself for a book nerd night out.
Obviously there will be books to browse for Clear the Credit Month, but a night like this needs something a little special. The evening also includes a clothing swap to browse for filling your wardrobe with equally fabulous pieces. Swap bags are $10 each and include beverages while you browse; all proceeds will be donated to Resilience: Advocates for Ending Violence to bring awareness to the 75 to Survive initiative.
It's not required to bring clothes to swap, but if you would like to participate in the swap, clothing must be clean, in good repair, and dropped off at the bookshop on March 26–27 so we can set up the racks before the party begins.
