Our meetings are the perfect opportunity to connect with fellow creatives, share your latest artwork, and enjoy snacks and great conversation. Each month, we’ll also feature a special guest speaker to spark fresh inspiration and offer valuable artistic insights.
Becky Wilkes (American, b. 1956 ) lives with her husband on Eagle Mountain Lake in Azle, TX. Educated as a Chemical Engineer at Texas A&M, her children and grandchildren have expanded her knowledge of entropy, the energy of chaos and order, which permeates much of her work.
When COVID erupted, she brought her elderly parents to live with her and her husband, and began a photographic journal of their final year. Twice recognized as Photolucida’s Critical Mass Top 50, 'Till Death Do Us Part' bares witness to the struggles of mortality, aging, and grief. The New Yorker Magazine published this deeply personal chronicle on Instagram.
