Come and enjoy Shirley’s wit and humour as she shares her quilts and her experience with the three F’s of quilting - Fear, Failure, Finishing.
About Shirley: Shirley Dawson is an award-winning designer and teacher. She learned to sew in school when she was 12 and has never really stopped. Shirley studied and graduated Fashion Techniques and Design at Sheridan College. She also won several awards from Fashion Canada during this time. Over her career she owned and operated Munchkin Designs, producing a children’s clothing line that she sold at craft shows in and around Ontario including the One of a Kind. She also designed wedding and specialty dresses for both adults and children. Her interest in all things able to be sewn by hand or machine has allowed her to expand her interests far and wide. Since retiring she has spent most of her time sharing her vast knowledge of sewing to her many students, some who are novices and others who wish to grow their confidence and experience on more challenging projects.
