We are incredibly pleased and excited to announce that Malcolm Strachan will be playing at our next meeting on 30th November, 2pm, Wasps Creative Academy, Inverness. Malcolm is one of the top session trumpeters in the UK today and has recorded and toured with the likes of Mark Ronson, Amy Winehouse, Martha Reeves and The Vandellas. He’s also a founder and existing band member of UK funk kings The Haggis Horns. With over 20 years experience as a professional musician, he features on scores of music releases and has played concerts across the world.
And Malcolm's a local lad! He was born in Inverness and featured in local jazz gigs as a youngster. He went off to Leeds College in '94 and his musical career took off. Sadly this kept him away from our part of the world - until now! This is a chance not to miss. Come along on 30th and welcome Malcolm back to his roots. This is going to be an afternoon of fabulous music.
