About this Event
Community Cultural Humility and Overdose Prevention Event Description: In this 90-minute workshop, we will examine the roots and impact of the stigma that exists around substance use, and we will begin to unpack how to best address this stigma at an individual, community, and systemic level. We will then review the impact of opioid overdoses in New York State and learn how to respond to a potential opioid overdose emergency. Each attendee will leave this training with the knowledge of how to respond to an overdose, as well two doses of Narcan/naloxone in a personal overdose response kit.

Through our 9+ service programs, we are able to support individuals with housing, nutrition, medical care coordination, harm reduction, and more.
