About the Orphanage - CBV
Our journey leads us to the CBV orphanage, home to approximately 25 wonderful girls in need of our care and support. By participating in this trip, you're not only brightening their day but also enriching their lives with the beauty of tradition and connection.
Trip Details:
📍 Meeting Point:
Gather at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf by 8:00am sharp.
🚗 Departure:
After brief introductions, our convoy departs at 8:30 am for Mexico.
🌮 Taco Time:
We will make a pit stop at one of our favorite local taco spots. Get ready to savor the authentic flavors of Mexico! They offer a mouthwatering selection including lengua, adobado, birria, fish and shrimp.
🥕 Grocery Shopping:
We'll make a grocery store stop where your donations directly contribute to buying food and supplies for the kids in the coming weeks.
🍽️ Lunch:
Upon arrival, we will serve a delicious autumn-inspired meal to the kids.
🍂 Fall Activities:
After lunch, we'll dive into crafts, enjoy fun experiments, and play games with the children. Get ready for a day of smiles and laughter.
🍽️ Dinner and Farewell:
After an unforgettable day, we'll head to dinner around 5pm. Bring cash for ease of splitting the check, dollars are accepted.
🚙🚶🏻♀️ Return Trip:
Around 8pm, we'll head back to the border. Passengers without SENTRI or Global Entry will be dropped off at the pedestrian crossing for a smooth border crossing.
Don't Forget:
🛂 Essentials: Passport, green card, Global Entry, visa, etc.
💵 Cash: For incidentals and dinner.
🧣 Dress Comfortably: Expect a bit of crafting mess! It will get quite chilly, so be sure to bring a jacket to stay cozy and warm.
To Attend:
Secure your spot by donating $90 via Eventbrite. Your contribution covers transportation, food, and supplies for the kids. Additional donations are welcome and tax deductible.
