Nourishing Gardens Through the Seasons Membership
Come join us at Freetown Farm every month for support to keep your garden thriving all year round! Learn valuable tips and tricks from experienced gardeners on how to care for food and pollinator plants through every season. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned pro, this membership is perfect for anyone looking for support enhancing or maintaining their gardens this year. Don't miss out on this opportunity to connect with fellow garden enthusiasts and grow your knowledge!
As a 2026 year-long member of our community, you will receive monthly workshops hosted by CEI professionals and community partners, monthly tips and tasks, and ongoing garden support.
Topics will focus on what you can do in your garden, or for your garden, in each month of the year. The workshops will be held at Freetown Farm and other local venues where you will receive expert-led information and hands-on experience. You will receive support and encouragement while you learn gardening techniques and timelines, and share your gardening triumphs and fails! Topics will include seed starting, identifying and removing weeds / invasive species in your yard, native plants, pest management, pruning, compost, and more!

Your workshop presenter: This course will be led by Loni Cohen, the Community Ecology Institute Nourishing Gardens Program Manager. Loni began gardening with her dad as a child and later worked on his landscaping crew to pay her way through graduate school. Loni earned a Master's Degree in Social Work, and spent years helping families to access the supports they needed to thrive in their environment. Loni feels passionate about creating an environment that fosters a mutually beneficial relationship where people and nature thrive together. Loni continues to enjoy sharing her passion for gardening with the community as the Nourishing Gardens Program Manager, a Master Gardener, and CA W**d Warrior.
Registration and Refunds: Cancellation of tickets requires 7 days’ notice for a refund (minus any processing fees). Cancellations after 7-days’ notice will only be refunded on a case-by-case basis. Tickets can be transferred to an alternate attendee by emailing [email protected].
Your workshop fees at work: Workshop fees support the mission of the Community Ecology Institute. With your support of, and participation in, our paid workshops we are able to offer flexible paid work opportunities to community members, earn an income that supports the operations of our organization and mission-delivery, and invest in programs that build community, protect our environment, and support the health and wellbeing of our community members.
