NOUN is the ever-evolving solo project of Marissa Paternoster, former lead singer and guitarist of the celebrated rock trio Screaming Females. In this iteration, she is joined by the multi-instrumentalist Phillip Price, formerly of Kayo Dot and Moor Jewelry. Anyone familiar with Marissa’s musical endeavors knows what to expect: inventive guitars that can be both raw and emotive without being derivative (how could she ever be derivative), and lyrics that will scrape your heart back.
