Not Checkers is a social event held at CultureHUB and sponsored by AARP that mixes chess, good conversation, great music and talks with community leaders of diverse backgrounds. Research suggests regular chess practice enhances cognitive abilities, inducing mental acuity, alertness, memory, attention span, and overall brain function, when compared to individuals who do not engage in chess. Lunch is provided as part of the event!
