CHILDMINDER NETWORK - please book one ticket per setting - a stay and play group especially for childminders. You are welcome to attend with or without children. The session includes a mini-training topic, local and national updates, opportunity to chat and network with colleagues, resources to take away e.g. poster to display, sometimes we do a fun quiz, activities and group song / story time for children. It's over lunch - so please BRING PACKED LUNCHES. Drinks provided.
First Steps is a community social enterprise that meets at Calvert Hall behind Rosebery Road methodist church, Rosebery Road, NR3 3AB. We put on stay and play groups for parents / carers and their 0-4 year olds. We welcome mums, dads, grandparents, childminders, and other carers. We are an inclusive , warm and welcoming group, offering developmentally appropriate play opportunities, messy play and healthy snacks. We finish with a songtime with props, puppets and sometimes bubbles or parachute play. We keep the cost as low as possible so all are groups are either £2 per family or FREE (Story Cafe and Childminder Support Group - SEE BELOW FOR DETAILS - are free). There are a few parking spaces adjacent to the church (please park at an angle to the church wall), and a on Rosebery Road, please be mindful of residents. We believe that children learn through playing, chatting and exploring their environment and resources. We believe in instilling a sense of awe and wonder in the children. We have a trained Communication Champion in our setting who can advise on speech, language and communication concerns. We promote wellbeing for babies, toddlers and their carers. Our group's run by a former teacher, an outstanding childminder and a retired childminder, all with years of knowledge and experience in early childhood.
