About this Event
Shane Hurd has spent his nearly 25 year government career in the fields of civil engineering, geographic information systems, information technologies and is a graduate of Arizona State Universitie’s Certified Public Manager program. As a member of the space race generation he has been a lifelong space and science nerd and sci-fi geek. It was the Phoenix lights incident in his hometown of Phoenix, AZ that sparked his interest in UFOs.
Since that time he has studied the subject intently and ultimately in 2015 joined MUFON, then became a MUFON field investigator in 2017. He is now a Star Team member, a Field Investigator trainer, a member of the Experiencer Resource Team and is the Assistant State Director for Arizona MUFON.
In June 2020 he published his first book entitled “Unidentified Aereal Phenomenon: A Beginners Guide to Researching UFOs“. He has appeared on Ancient Aliens, History’s Greatest Mysteries with Lawrence Fishburne and other television and radio programs and various podcasts. He is a proud grandpa, musician, a car guy, amateur astronomer, horse owner, and enjoys a good bourbon now and then.
Shane will be joining us live via Zoom and there will be time for a great Q & A!
After the presentation, and as time allows, we will cover recent UFO/UAP investigations in ND and MN. The hybrid meeting is “ in person” in both Fargo, ND (James Carlson Public Library at 2801 32nd Avenue S.) and Grand Rapids, MN (VFW Post 1720) and is connected by Zoom (link available in the Insider’s section at www.northlandmufon.com. There is no admission fee, but a free will donation of any amount would be appreciated to help cover our costs, but it's certainly not required. While we do offer a Zoom option, attending the meeting in person at either location is a great way to meet like-minded people! We hope to see you on the 25th!
