🧶 Afternoon Workshop – Felt the Northern Lights
Join Rebecca from Jack & Alice Crafts for a soothing, hands-on needle-felting session inspired by the swirling colours and ethereal beauty of the Aurora Borealis.
Using luxurious wool fibres, sparkly yarns, and shimmering iridescent threads, you’ll create a stunning felted artwork that captures the dance of light across a winter sky.
Whether you choose to craft a framed felted picture, a decorative hanging, or a textured landscape piece, Rebecca will guide you step-by-step — helping you blend colour, texture, and sparkle to bring your Northern Lights to life.
Perfect for beginners or experienced makers alike, this calm and mindful creative session is the perfect way to unwind and lose yourself in the magic of making.
All materials and tools are provided — just bring your imagination and a love for colour. ✨
🏰 About Hughenden & The National Trust
This enchanting workshop takes place within the historic National Trust Hughenden Estate, nestled among the rolling Chiltern Hills.
Once home to Victorian Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli, Hughenden’s gothic house and sweeping parkland hold centuries of stories — from politics to wartime secrets, when it served as a WWII map-making base.
Now lovingly cared for by the National Trust, Hughenden offers a serene and inspiring backdrop for creativity. Its woodland paths, panoramic views, and peaceful charm make it the ideal place to spend a winter afternoon crafting under the (imagined) northern sky. 🌲🌌
☕ Before Your Workshop
Arrive early and enjoy a delicious lunch or hot drink from the Hughenden Café (not included in your ticket).
Take a moment to stroll the estate’s crisp winter grounds and soak up the calm before your creative session begins. ❄️
🚗 Arrival Details
