The Museum of North Texas History invites you to an unforgettable evening celebrating our community’s stories, heritage, and the people who help bring history to life. Our Annual Gala is more than an event - it’s a night of purpose, connection, and support for the museum’s mission to preserve and share the history that shaped North Texas.This new, annual event will not only help raise funds to directly support the mission of the Museum of North Texas History but will also usher in a platform to honor those history makers throughout Texoma as we induct the inaugural class of the North Texas Hall of Fame.
With this first class, the Museum will honor six outstanding North Texans as well as a posthumous honoree, with categories being:
Arts - Chance Harmon
Education - Diann Taylor
Government - Judge Woodrow "Woody" Gossom
Sports - James "J.W." Harris
Military - Maj. Gen. Dawn M. Ferrell
Community Impact - Bettye Ricks
Posthumous (Sports) - Mike McAfee
