Join Executive Director Monica Bryand and leaders of The Urban Bird Collective as they talk about creating an organization and movement that changes what it means to be a birder while engaging the BIPOC and LGBTQAI+ communities to be out in nature in a welcoming and inclusive environment.The Urban Bird Collective is changing the face of birding and works to influence the outdoor and conservation industries. The Collective does this work through 40 leaders that represent the two communities they center, and they also partner with over 20 organizations to support outdoor
spaces that are welcoming and inclusive for everyone.
Joining Monica Bryand on the stage will be Urban Bird Collective leaders Shawyn Domyancich-Lee, Mia Bauer, and Daniel Hawkins Torres.
