About this Event
Welcome to the North Star Community Art Series!
The North Star Community Art Series (NSCAS) aims to foster community engagement and creativity through a series of activations designed to celebrate art, literacy, architecture, spoken word, and connection. These workshops will not only provide opportunities for individuals of all ages to express themselves but also promote cultural exchange and education. All of the workshops and activations will be founded in deepening our understanding and connection to Anna and Frederick Douglass’ pioneering life of literature, authorship and social involvement, and abolitionist and suffrage politics.
Through these workshops, we aim to strengthen community bonds, foster creativity, and celebrate the diversity of our community and our pioneers. By providing opportunities for artistic expression, literacy enrichment, and cultural exchange, we hope to create a lasting impact and inspire a sense of pride in our shared heritage.
