About this Event
Join us for a wonderful fundraising event and interesting conversation centred around The Audition, a surprising ‘little opera’ that has brought joy and meaningful connection to patients, residents, carers, nurses and doctors across a variety of health and social care settings in the UK.
The event will take place at The Clissold Arms, a popular family-owned gastro pub in Muswell Hill. The evening is organised in support of 2 fantastic charities:
- North London Hospice, which cares for over 3,500 patients with life-limiting illness every year and provides support for their families, friends and carers in Barnet, Haringey and Enfield. The hospice provides its services free of charge. With 40% of its funding coming from the NHS, it relies on the generosity of the local community to fund its work through donations and fundraising to provide the best of life, at the end of life, for everyone.
- Health:Pitch, that walks the talk in showing how creative engagement can help mental wellbeing. Since 2017 we have reached over 4,000 people with limited or no access to the arts, across diverse health and social care settings as well as the public and online, with our atypical operatic centred creations, intimate “wow”productions, interactive workshops and online courses. This charitable initiative stems directly from Davina's terminal illness and her daughter's - a former intensive care physiotherapist - time caring for her.
