Boop. There’s another Vegan Runners Norther Quarterly Meet-up happening! It’s gonna be more south than it ever has! It’s gonna be in Sheffield and we want you, specifically you, to be there. We want you to come and do some running with us and then go for some vegan brekkie!
We’re gonna be having it on the 22nd of March at Endcliffe parkrun and Sheffield’s own Kelly Slade said she’s gonna think about the best place for us to go for breakfast afterwards!
I think we managed to be both the biggest and second biggest unofficial event of this year this year, although I didn’t look very hard to check those statistics, so it would be really nice to kick off with a large one to set a bar for some other people to try and beat!
Sheffield was the birthplace of our wonderful Craig Barstow, and this is as close to his birthday as I could do due to other commitments. Sheffield is also and the second biggest city in Yorkshire! What better place to kick off Spring? Apparently Spring starts on the 20th of March... I didn’t know that.
There are easy rail connections from Manchester, Leeds, Nottingham and various other cities in the North and Midlands—we’ve given you three months notice—so there is no excuse not to be there! Jen has already given me her excuse in advance, and it has been approved, but I am sure no one else has one quite as good as hers.
Sorry I wrote this on Christmas Eve after a long run and far too much vegan chocolate.
These events are dedicated to a man who touched the hearts of our community in the North. He made us realise how important it is to seize the time we have with those we love and to invest in events that bring us together.
We want you, specifically you, to be there.
All the best,
Jes
