Norside has rapidly established themselves as one of the most thrilling new acts on today’s instrumental groove scene. Anchored by a deep-pocket rhythm section and fearless improvisation, this organ trio brings a raw, no-frills energy that feels both timeless and unmistakably of the moment. The trio features Glenn Strother on guitar, Steve Ippolito on drums, and Skip Sanders on organ.
Formed in mid-2022, Norside has quickly been winning over crowds with their electrifying blend of gritty soul-jazz grooves and raw Rust Belt swagger—a sound they’ve aptly coined “Rust Belt Funk.” Rooted in classic organ trio traditions but unafraid to push boundaries, Norside’s music is equal parts deep groove, spontaneous exploration, and street-level soul, built for packed clubs and late-night festival sets alike.
