About this Event
Tripp Whetsell is a book author, magazine, and newspaper journalist with a unique perspective. Tripp will discuss his latest book, Norman Lear: His Life & Times, a first-ever comprehensive biography of the legendary television producer and activist. The biography captures intimate behind-the-scenes moments of Lear’s life and work. Publishers Weekly calls Whetsell’s book a “fitting tribute to a consequential figure in television history.” Tripp will be interviewed by Susan Shapiro, an award-winning and best-selling author and professor who freelances for the New York Times, Washington Post, among many others. Joining them will be actor Danielle Brisebois, who played Archie’s niece in All in the Family and Archie’s Place.
