Norfolk artist relives earliest days of MTV when he promoted music locally

His boss called him “Larry the Ladderman” but it quickly changed to “Larry the Artist” when his art gained attention at the premiere record shop of Tidewater during the earliest days of MTV. He painted the Tattoo Girl for the Rolling Stones historic concert in 1981, drew the largest comic strips at that time, painted the largest CD at the time to inform the public of this new musical format, etc.
