Anna Fält is a versatile voice artist, composer and singing teacher with a deep passion for Nordic folk singing. She has toured widely across the Nordic region and beyond with her distinctive solo vocal concerts. Drawing on singing traditions from her two home countries, Finland and Sweden, she blends bright Scandinavian clarity with darker East European colours, performing in churches, museums, festivals, clubs and concert halls.
Her concerts celebrate the power of the human voice: a one woman band creating sound worlds you may have never heard before. Tradition meets vocal art, experimentation and storytelling in a personal and intimate way. Audiences everywhere connect to the honesty of an unaccompanied voice, no matter the language.
Alongside her solo work, Fält collaborates in performing arts and multidisciplinary projects, and is an active teacher and lecturer. She holds three music degrees and has studied folk music in five countries, but her central focus remains developing the art of solo a cappella performance. She has collaborated with several Aotearoa artists over the years, including film composer Karl Sölve Steven and taonga puoro player Rob Thorne.
Fält now returns to Aotearoa for her third tour, bringing her powerful voice and Nordic stories back to local audiences.
