For the first time since 2022, Kush Jones is making his way back to Te Whanganui-a-tara to play at Meow on January 22nd. A native of the Bronx, New York - Kush Jones as a producer and international DJ cuts across Chicago footwork, Jersey club, jungle, UK grime and raw, forward-thinking club mutations. Revered for high-impact sets and restless energy behind the decks, Kush blurs scenes and tempos with masterful precision.
First breaking through the footwork scene with his 2016 debut EP Sleep on TAR Records, Kush followed up with Momentum via Juke Bounce Werk, before appearing on Trax Couture’s landmark The Whole World Series compilation. Beyond official releases, his catalogue runs deep with self-released projects and unreleased club weapons, constantly evolving and always unpredictable.
Kush Jones will be joined at Meow by an array of Pōneke's favourite selectors Benny Salvador, Lake Boon and Current Bias.
