What's going on with human connection?Did it ever happen to you that you tell your partner you want to see them this evening and you end up very angry with each other? Or that you call your mum for that amazing recipe and you have to hang up because you are almost shouting at each other? Or that you just wanted to pick up an outfit and you end up hating yourself and your body?
I don't know you, but I feel so lost.
Nonviolent communication is a tool to tackle this. A very simple, practical, dynamic, and effective one.
This 2-hour workshop will be very hands-on in your life and with a lot of exercises (70% interactive, 30% theory). It won't look much like a lecture.
We will tackle judgements, empathic listening and how our language patterns live on our bodies.

The transformational power of Nonviolent Communication (NVC) hit me the first time at the beginnig of the covid pandemic. It allowed me to reconnect with my mum during a very difficult conflict—and I felt love for her for the first time in 20 years. so, later on, after three years immersed in neuroscience research, and after facing the lack of meaningful mental health support in that field, it seemed clear to me where i needed to start, and it felt natural to shift path.
For the past three years, I've been sharing an embodied approach to NVC through courses, workshops, individual sessions, and mediations. My work emphasizes practice and lived experience over theory, I like to offer small, digestible steps that invite an integration of the deep revolution that NVC proposes. I'm passionate in creating spaces where this is possible in the intra personal, inter personal and system level, as real impactful change happens when these move together.

Hi. My name is Matthias. To be honest with you, I’m incredibly hesitant to write this short biography about myself. Part of the resistance comes from a fear of not being enough - it’s an insecurity that often comes alive since for many years of my life my need for connection wasn’t met, no matter what I tried. Out of this experience I’m shy to show and present myself, even to an unknown reader, to not go through the pain of rejection again. Another source for this hesitation is that I’ve got an idea of how I need to present myself here as a teacher. “I need to sell myself well and in a way that will make you trust me and curious to learn from me”. And I’m worried that I’ll try to perform as something I’m not in order to achieve that. Underneath the pressure of trying to be perfect I’m certain I’ll lose something incredibly important. I’ll lose connection to myself and with that any hope of actually contributing value to you.
That’s why I’ll start this introduction of myself like this. I’m looking forward to meeting you and exploring together how we can connect to our feelings and unknown desires. How we can hold space and lovingly meet each other exactly where we are in our authentic selves. This is the place where relationships gain intimacy and depth, where love grows and where life begins to make sense.
Just in case you actually want to know about my background: I started learning about NVC in 2019, took my first lessons with Empathie Stadt Zurich in 2020, and completed my education in 2023 with a course about teaching and embodying NVC by CNVC-Trainer Yoram Mosenzon.
