About this Event
Join Nomad Used Bookstore for our very first French Quarter Book Crawl, a walking adventure for people who love bookstores, stories, and exploring New Orleans together.
We’ll start the afternoon at Nomad Used Bookstore in Algiers Point (501 Seguin St, New Orleans, 70114) meet fellow book lovers, and then walk together to the ferry to cross the river and begin our crawl through several bookstores in the French Quarter.
Along the way we’ll stop into 3–4 independent bookstores, explore the Quarter on foot, grab drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), and get to know one another while discovering what the French Quarter’s literary scene has to offer.
Whether you’re a local who rarely makes it into the Quarter or a visitor looking to meet fellow book nerds, this is the perfect way to spend an afternoon.

Meet at Nomad Used Bookstore

We'll gather, meet each other, review the route, and walk together to the ferry.
1:00 PM
Depart on the Algiers Point Ferry
1:30 PM – 4:30 PM (approx.)
Bookstore crawl through the French Quarter - ALL LOCATIONS TO BE ANNOUNCED PRIOR TO EVENT VIA SOCIAL MEDIA.
We'll visit 3–4 bookstores, make drink stops along the way, and enjoy exploring together.
The crawl will wrap up somewhere between 4–5 PM on the east bank.
Participants can:
• take the ferry back with us
• stay in the Quarter to continue exploring

Includes ferry tickets, guided crawl, tote bag, wagon storage for book purchases, and beverages along the way.
⚠️ Only 20 tickets available.
Each participant must purchase their own ticket.
Spots are limited to 20 participants, and when we first mentioned this idea online we had over 100 people express interest.

• Expect lots of walking
• Stops along the route include both bookstores and drink establishments
• Route details and specific bookstore stops will be announced prior to the date of the event
