Nomad Dance Advocacy is an initiative of the Nomad Dance Academy platform, initiated in 2012 as a permanent program advocating for a more stable position and work conditions in the field of contemporary dance within the Balkan region.

Advocacy events take place in various cities throughout the region and gather artists, theoreticians, cultural workers and policy-makers with the intent to enable them to meet directly, communicate, and exchange experiences around the field of contemporary dance and the politics which concern it.

The event in Zagreb TRANSFORMATIVE POLICIES FOR DANCE hosted by ANTISEZONA and co-hosted by Nomad Dance Academy Slovenia in the frame of Choreographic Convention: BODIES IN FREE FALL, as part of LLB3 EU project, is representing the closing of the circle of this long term project: previous events happened in Skopje (2012), Sofija (2015), Belgrade (2017), on tour through Ljubljana, Zagreb, Beograd, Skopje, and Sofija (2017), and in Ljubljana (2019).

The focus of this event is to create strong and inspired international discussion about present and future structures for dance art in current EU landscape, with accent on research (dance, choreography, performance) as agent of creating and imagining sustainable and inclusive future.

// Entrance is free. Due to the limited number of places in the audience, please confirm your attendance to [email protected] //
