This 2 day conference is for Nobody's Perfect Program (NPP) trained facilitators, family support workers, early childhood educators, parent coaches and anyone who delivers parenting programs.
Day 1 Thursday March 13 2025

Honouring Indigenous Culture & Teachings in Parenting Programs
Featuring Granny Willow and Connie Herman
In this full day workshop, Kelleen Blouin and Connie Herman will highlight strategies for incorporating culture into Parenting Programs. Kelleen, also known as Granny Willow and her puppet Everest, will showcase some of the ways she incorporates teachings and culture into her parenting programs and work with children.
Kelleen and Connie will facilitate learning activities that can be adapted to meet the needs of the parents in Nobody’s Perfect Parenting Programs.
Participants will:
- gain experiential and adaptable lesson plans on how to support cultural practices
- learn the important role of storytelling
- and understand strategies for discussing the impact of residential schools on families.
Day 2 Friday March 14 2025

Head, heart and hands: a day of refreshing, learning from others & creating activities for your own Parent Programs
Featuring Carmen Paterson-Payne and Manitoba NPP Trainers
In this full day workshop Carmen along with your MB NPP Trainers will lead you through a series of discussions and activities to help refresh your facilitator knowledge, build your skills and add to your facilitator tool kits!
Participants will:
- receive new experiential and adaptable activities that can be used in not only your NPP groups, but any family support program you deliver.
- Review key Nobody’s Perfect concepts and adult learning principles such as using a Head, Heart, Hand facilitation approach
- Have an opportunity to share and network with provincial facilitators & trainers
- Explore fun and interactive ways to engage parents
Cost:
$225 for both days
$150 for one day
EARLY BIRD UNTIL December 31st $195 for both days
