About this Event
This comprehensive Therapy Dog Certification Test is designed to evaluate your dog’s ability to perform in various environments and situations. The process begins with obedience certification at the Broadway Facility, where your dog’s basic commands and behavior will be assessed.
Next, you’ll head to La Cantera Outdoor Mall for the Public Access portion, testing your dog’s behavior in a bustling public space and resturant for lunch (not provided), we will proceed to the Fire Department, where your dog will work around real-world distractions.
The day wraps up with a visit to the library, where your dog’s calm demeanor and ability to focus will be tested in the Childrens Reading Room. Upon successful completion, you will receive your Therapy Dog Certification!
Cost: $350 for testing.
Upon Completion of Certification: You will be certified as a NOBLE Therapy Dog Team and receive an identification badge, therapy vest, T-shirt, and one year of insurance.
Continued Insurance: $50 per year for ongoing coverage.
Maintenance Requirements: To maintain certification, a minimum of 2 hours of volunteer work per month is required.
