The legendary and light-hearted musical comedy "No, No Nanette" runs at the Headgate Theatre in Colchester in May. Originally premiered in 1925, "No, No, Nanette" was the blockbuster musical of a century ago, full of romance, wacky comedy, singing and dancing all based around Vincent Youman's tune-filled score which yielded the song that defined an era "Tea for Two".Our production will be giving the show a slightly different edge, with Andrew Hodgson directing the show in collaboration with Maestro Phil Toms as our M.D. and the brilliant Amanda Powell as our choreographer. The large cast of 25 performers is a mix of familiar Platform faces and several newcomers to the Platform family. We are thrilled to welcome Hannah Ambrose in the title role, playing opposite Sam Carbonero as Tom, with Graham Bowden as Jimmy, Caroline Fritz as Sue, Gareth Gwyn Jones as Billy, Jayne Sheeran as Lucille and Kim Anderson as Pauline. Helen McCraw, Jade Tournay-Godfrey, and Naomi Carter are Flora, Betty and Winnie whose arrival at Jimmy's seaside cottage, cause all the comic mis-understandings. Completing the cast are a fabulous ensemble consisting of: Joe Fusi, Adam Duarte Dias, Phil Ager, Ed Mehen, Elia Teatino, Koralia Salacuri, Chrissie James, Nikki McCarron, Barbara Ryan, Fiona Bocking, Dave and Dawn King, Sally Leung, John Davies and Lisa Pordham.
