About this Event
EVENT DETAILS: no agenda. is an interactive music & painting event series that aims to connect participants to community, care, & creative play through sound. Every no agenda. experience will center specific music themes, genres, artists, and/or DJs, with a special focus on music within the African diaspora. Participants will have the opportunity to express themselves through painting while listening to carefully curated playlists, creating a multi-sensory experience. Suggested prompts will be provided to help participants navigate & deepen their no agenda. experience, but we want everyone to understand - these are just suggestions. We encourage everything you do in the space to be soul-led.
The name, no agenda., speaks to the genuine desire that we have for participants to connect with self, community, & Spirit through play, in whatever ways feel best. No gimmicks, no hidden agendas.
**Light snacks & drinks will be provided to all participants.
SESSION FOCUS: CALLING ALL MY PIANO WARRIORS! For our first event, we will be taken on a sonic ride through some of Andra's favorite groovy Amapiano & Afrobeats tracks. Think Uncle Waffles, Kelvin Momo, Juls type of vibe... **Keep in mind - the session focus is always subject to change, cuz no agenda. is based off of vibes, & vibes alone! Be sure to check back here for any changes, if music genre matters to you.
At the end of every event, participants will be emailed a link to the playlist, and have access to the other participants' contact information so that folx can stay in touch if they choose to do so. **Feel free to opt out of this if you do not want your information to be shared. You will have the opportunity to do so before checking out.
ENTRY INSTRUCTIONS: The event will be located at 361 Stagg St. Brooklyn, NY 11206. Participants will be emailed a code for entry the week of the event. Once in the building, please wait in the lobby area near the elevator on the ground floor. Andra will come down to collect all participants at the start of the event, so please be on time! If you will be running late, don't hesitate to call/text (413) 424-9540. Please keep noise level down while in lobby, as some studios in the space will be in use.
