Based in Essex, the line‑up features Richard Townend on guitar and vocals, Matt Gillam on bass and vocals, and Mark Hall on drums. **Armoured Man** are a multi-instrumental folk duo from Essex. Lyrically-driven, intricate, muscular, and rooted in the natural world, their sound combines folk story telling with the nervy energy of post-hardcore.
*Hind Legs*, their second full-length album - mastered by Frank Turner - was released in December 2025. It explores climate breakdown, geological time, faith, fatherhood and a deeply uncertain future.
