Piano students from first grade up, teachers and adults are invited to participate in the NMSU Piano Festival led by Dr. Yoshiko Arahata and Dr. Jung-Won Shin, January 31 at the NMSU Music Building. Registration deadline is January 20. Scan the event listing for more information and registration or check the information and registration links below: Piano students and teachers are cordially invited to participate in New Mexico State University’s first annual NMSU Piano Festival! scheduled at the Music Building of New Mexico State University in Las Cruces on Saturday, January 31, 2026. This festival is to offer pianists at all ages the opportunity to connect and grow together.
The day of the Festival will consist of solo and ensemble recitals featuring participating students and teachers and joint master classes with NMSU piano faculty, Jung-Won Shin and Yoshiko Arahata, and participating teachers. Several students among all festival students will be selected to perform at the master classes, depending on grades, performance repertoire, and teacher’s approval.
Registration for the NMSU Piano Festival is due Tuesday, January 20, 2026.
