Please join NLADA for evening of great food, film, and riveting discussion! NLADA and Ascender Films, Inc. will host a viewing of the short film entitled “The Visit” which tells the story of a world-weary, FREDERICK DOUGLASS, who receives a surprise VISIT in the summer of 1859 that alters the course of his life – and U.S. HISTORY.
This short film is so relevant to the current work of racial justice advocates and the present day second reconstruction era in America. Following the viewing of the film, the writer and director Paul Grant will participate in a panel discussion with NLADA leaders and the community.
Complimentary food and drinks will be provided by NLADA.
