NJ Salsa Presents: Salsa On2 & Bachata in Nyack, NY
Join us for a 3-week dance series featuring Bachata & Salsa On2, designed to take you from beginner fundamentals toward confident social dancing — followed by an extended social each night!
SCHEDULE — Mondays: 4/13, 4/20, 4/27
- 7:00pm – 8:00pm → Bachata (Level 1)
- 8:00pm – 9:00pm → Salsa On2 (Level 1)
- 9:00pm – 11:30pm → Social Dancing (Included)
Bachata (Level 1)
Foundations for Social Dancing
The Bachata (Level 1) program lays the groundwork for bachata social dancing through a structured, beginner-friendly curriculum.
Participants will learn:
- Basic steps & timing
- Rhythm and coordination
- Partner connection
- Turns and simple combinations
- Foundational partner-work
This class includes structured drills designed to help participants feel comfortable and confident on the dance floor.
No prior experience required.
Salsa On2 (Level 1)
Beginner Program | Foundations for Social Dancing
Our Salsa On2 (Level 1) program is a series of beginner-friendly classes designed to prepare participants for social dancing in the New York Style of Salsa (On2).
Participants gain a strong foundation through:
- Basic steps & On2 timing
- Coordination & rhythm
- Dance positions
- Transitions & partner-work
- Turns-in-place & traveling turns
- Introductory partner-work sequences
Typically, new participants spend 3–5 months developing proficiency before moving to Level 2. Consistency, practice, and social dancing are key to progression.
Participants may request a written breakdown of the 18 movements included in our Level 1 curriculum.
SOCIAL DANCING (9:00pm – 11:30pm)
After class, stay for an extended open-level social included with your registration.
