The Orcutt Lions Club will host “Nite at the Races” beginning at 6 p.m., Saturday, March 28, at the Orcutt Lions Den, 126 South Broadway Street, in Old Orcutt. The night begins with a barbecue chicken dinner, followed by stick “horse racing” with audience participation. This is a family fun event that includes a silent auction and drawings for prizes from area businesses and members.
Proceeds will go towards the club’s sight and hearing projects, including support of the Santa Barbara County Education Office Programs for the Visually Impaired and the Hearing Impaired in the Special Education Department, the Roger Selken Memorial Scholarship for visually impaired students, and assistance with vision screening in area schools and health fairs.
