NIP Ministry Announces ‘Reflection Day’: A Call for Accountability in the NY Justice System
YONKERS, NY – On May 23, 2026, the National Innocence Project (NIP) Ministry will host a pivotal event at 86 Main Street, Yonkers, dedicated to highlighting systemic failures and prosecutorial misconduct within the New York legal system.
Led by Founder Rev. Keith Gadson and a newly appointed Board of Directors—including Integrations Officer Von S. Del Valle, Anthony Dolci, and legislative candidates Jason Murillo (State Senate Dist. 27) and Veronica Gonzalez (Assembly Dist. 74)—the event will serve as a platform to demand accountability from high-ranking officials.
The evening will feature a documentary premiere exposing serious allegations of misconduct involving Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz, Attorney General Letitia James, and Bryce Benjet. Key highlights include:
- The Human Toll: April Lowery of the Chains of Love Network will present video evidence of recantations in the wrongful conviction of her two sons.
- Legislative Reform: Candidates Murillo and Gonzalez will discuss the intersection of election reform and minority representation in the fight against "hood" violence and judicial corruption.
- Action Initiatives: Anthony Dolci will detail the "Stop False Police Reporting" initiative.
