Ninth Brighton All Day Singing from The Sacred Harp
Advertisement
We are SUPER excited to be using this gorgeous new venue for 2026. Test singings showed it to have an amazing acoustic, we hope it'll be the same when filled with all our singing friends!
Everyone is welcome - no prior experience is necessary, and loaner books will be available. We're using the 2025 edition of The Sacred Harp.
Registration is at 10 am and singing will start at 10:30 am.
You can come and go at any time throughout the day.
Please bring a cold dish to share for lunch. Feel free to bring your own reusable cup, plate and cutlery if possible as we will be using single use items on the day.
The building has step-free access and wheelchair accessible facilities.
We will collect donations to cover event costs.

Traveling to BHASVIC
By Train:
BHASVIC is a 15-minute walk or a 5-minute taxi ride from Brighton railway station, which connects to Gatwick Airport in 30 minutes and to London Victoria and London Bridge in 60 minutes. There is a taxi rank at the station.
By Bus:
BHASVIC is well served by several local bus routes with many stopping right outside or within a 2–5 minute walk of the college. Check Brighton Buses for route details.
By Car:
We have access to the two BHASVIC car parks (entrances from Old Shoreham Road). Parking is free and available until 5pm, when the gates are locked. We don't have exclusive access, so spaces may still be limited. There is a large car park to the rear of the college, plus a car park in front of the main entrance - please allow singers with access needs to have priority in these spaces.
Additional on-street parking is available nearby in Zones O and Q (pay-and-display or permit-only during restricted hours — please check signage).
After the Singing
We will head directly to The Chimney House pub, 28 Upper Hamilton Road, BN1 5DF, just 5 minutes walk away. The pub serves good food and drinks, and some singers may stay into the evening, though there will be no separate social event this year.
Covid Precautions
We will confirm any COVID precautions closer to the date, depending on current public health guidance.
