The ninth Annual Nativity Display, hosted by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5 and 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sat. Dec. 6 in Pflugerville. The purpose is to celebrate the birth of the Savior and his life and bring the community together to enjoy music, food, and fun. It is free and open to the public. The event centers around a room-by-room display of more than 570 nativities and works of art, ranging from international to crystal, glass, wood, handcrafted, and a general category called The Great Room. In addition, there will be music from local choirs and performance groups, various activities for children of all ages including a craft room, a costume room for taking photos, and free cookies and wassail.
From 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6, the event will be open to seniors only (those age 65 and up) who may need special assistance with walkers or wheelchairs or prefer not to navigate a crowd. No children please.
