Nina West: Live!

Currently part of the cast of queens on Season 9 of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars, Nina West is a powerhouse on stage and screen. Don't miss her Hudson Valley debut at Vassar College’s Martel Theater on Saturday night, September 14th.
Presented by Big Gay Hudson Valley, Nina’s performance at Vassar College will feature a night of cabaret, comedy and her signature heart-felt storytelling.

Bursting onto the national scene as a contestant on Season 11 of RuPaul's Drag Race, Nina finished 6th place, snatching the Miss Congeniality crown her season.
Since starting her career in the theater program at Denison University back in 1999, Nina West's 20+ year career has earned her an "Entertainer of the Year" award (2008) and seen her featured in over 35 main stage productions, including the national touring show of Hairspray where she played the iconic role of Edna Turnbladt.
In addition to her performance work, West is an advocate and leader for the LGBTQ community in her home state of Ohio where she started the Nina West Foundation, raising more than $2 million dollars for organizations benefiting LGBTQ youth and families.

The 325-seat Martel Theater, in the Vogelstein Center for Drama and Film, opened in 2003. Designed by the renowned architectural firm of Cesar Pelli and Associates, the Broadway-standard Martel Theater features a traditional proscenium-style stage and hosts a wide range of performances throughout the year at Vassar College.
