Nightlife is Broken: What’s the fix?

With nearly 500 nightclubs closing in the UK in the past four years, nightlife is in crisis. Rising costs, changing drinking habits, last-minute ticket buying, and dependency on bar sales have destabilised the ecosystem. Yet nightlife remains one of the most vital spaces for cultural exchange, creativity and community. This panel considers how venues, promoters and audiences can reimagine nightlife for the future: developing more resilient business models, advocating for supportive policy, and building spaces that can thrive without relying on outdated frameworks. The question is not just how to save nightlife, but how to reinvent it for the next generation.

About The Panel
  • Tim Garcia (re:sonate Founder)
  • Tina Edwards (re:sonate Founder)
  • Lucy Atkinson (Agent, ROAM)
  • Declan Cosgrove (Events and Marketing Manager, Grow Hackney, eco-friendly venue)
  • Nadine Noor (DJ, cultural producer, consultant and party founder, Pxssy Palace)

Proceeds from the ticket sales will be donated to Music Venue Trust.
