About the musicians
Scott Stein is a Kensington-based pianist, songwriter, composer and music director. His plain-spoken vocal delivery calls to mind Paul Simon's everyman-poet while his piano chops have garnered comparisons to Bruce Hornsby and Elton John. His latest EP Uphill, released in 2022, was designed as a sort of song-cycle about grief, loss and ultimately coming out on the other side. Abby Ahmad is a singer, songwriter, actor, and multi-disciplinary educator based in Brooklyn, NY. She has recorded & toured internationally as a solo artist, backup singer, and with her band Fife & Drom. Her original music has been recognized by the Independent Music Awards and featured in numerous films, including the major motion picture, The Guardian. As an actor, she has performed Off-Broadway and in regional theatre and as a voice actor for film & commercial. In 2025, Abby received an Bechdel Project Community Space Grant for her original musical, Permanent Residence. As a working performer and voice/songwriting coach, Abby cherishes the opportunity to commune through creativity. abbyahmad.com
