About this Event

Nidaba is, first of all, a family story. A story shaped by four generations of women who worked hard to earn, protect, and build what Nidaba has become today. We were born in the 1970s in the heart of Italy’s Prosecco region, from the vision of Daniela and Aldo, Anna’s parents, together with Andrea, Daniela’s brother. While surrounded by wine culture, they chose to look elsewhere, especially to Belgium and Germany, becoming among the first to introduce beer culture to Italy. The name Nidaba comes from the Assyrian-Babylonian goddess of beer, knowledge, and agriculture, a symbol that perfectly represents our respect for beer as something sacred, cultural, and deeply rooted in the land.Over time, beer became not just our focus, but our language. The project evolved into a more structured and thoughtful cuisine, shaped by Aldo’s experiences in the kitchens of Marchesi and Paracucchi. Today, we, Anna and Lorenzo, carry this legacy forward. We are constantly searching for new inspiration, traveling, working, and learning in places that challenge us, while staying true to our roots.Taste is our mission and our daily challenge. Everything we do comes from research, care, attention, and love. We push back against the idea of beer as a simple drink, against fast, disposable food, and against indiﬀerence toward the land. For us, beer is a Goddess, celebrated through authentic and original dishes that express our passion for food and sustainability. London holds a special place in our story. It’s where we shared our first stage together at Core by Clare Smyth, and later at Fallow, a place that inspired us with its ability to work at scale while maintaining high standards in a city where shortcuts are always an option. Bringing Nidaba to FOWL feels natural, sharing our family story, our culture of beer, and our idea of taste in a city that has shaped us deeply.
