Recording artist, Nicolas Bearde’s silky baritone sound, wit, and engaging rapport draws the audience into his live performances which often blur the lines between Jazz, Blues, and Soul. Born in Nashville, TN but residing in the San Francisco-Bay Area, he made his major marks in the jazz world as a founding member of Bobby McFerrin’s innovative a cappella ensemble, “Voicestra” for over 20 years, while carving out his own distinctive solo career. Besides travelling globally with his Trio, Nicolas is also the featured vocalist on sax legend Vincent Herring's hard-charging release "Hard Times" as well as the vocalist and narrator with Vincent’s "Story of Jazz Orchestra" –a 10 piece ensemble of jazz luminaries who travel the world presenting Jazz music's 100+ year history. Bearde’s shows feature a collection of jazz standards and originals that showcase his wide ranging and diverse musical influences!
