From a young producer experimenting with sounds from his bedroom to a globally recognized DJ, producer, and label owner, Nicky Romero established himself as one of the genre’s most influential figures. Known for hits like Toulouse and I Could Be the One (with Avicii), Nicky has built a career on originality, adaptability, and a deep understanding of music production.Over the years, he has collaborated with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Afrojack, Armin van Buuren, David Guetta, Kygo, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, and Steve Aoki. Beyond his work as an artist, one of Nicky’s biggest contributions to the industry is his Kickstart plugin, a widely used tool that simplifies sidechain compression, a key technique in EDM production.
In 2012, Nicky founded Protocol Recordings, a label dedicated to showcasing fresh talent and exploring the boundaries of electronic music.
