About this Event
Nick Saia leads and works with many different projects in New York, from Porcelain Vivisection (lizard grime core free jazz) to Strong 7s (Americana heartbreak songs). Superpro is his working trio - this time with longtime colleagues Kevin Eichenberger and James Paul Nadien.
You can hear his recordings of the aforementioned bands and solo works at https://nicksaiaguitar.blogspot.com/p/discography.html
James Paul Nadien is a percussionist and improviser currently residing in Brooklyn, NY. His current work revolves around solo percussion, as well as improvising ad-hoc with different group configurations, and playing with a few different projects like Toadal Package, Postmodern Miniatures, Art Heist, and Stalwart. He has collaborated with musicians such as Joe Morris, Anthony Coleman, William Hooker, The Flying Luttenbachers, Tony Malaby, Stephen Gauci, Brandon Seabrook, Teté Leguía, Dave Sewelson, Sean Conly, Darius Jones, and many more.
Hailing from the Richmond, VA area, Kevin explored his local punk and hardcore scenes as a young musician, eventually branching out into Jazz (BAM) where he found a love for it’s complexity and seriousness. His two passions would ultimately mix and become the intricate, rigid, noisy sound of CGI Jesus. He would go on to attend Virginia Common Wealth University for Jazz where he would develop early renditions of tracks found on the project’s first and only official release to date, Fred Killer. He collaborates with other musicians in other projects such as Nu Jazz, The Beak Trio, and more.
