About this Event
Hailing from the Hudson Valley, NY and now based in Brooklyn, Nick Chiapparino is a singer-songwriter, guitarist and seasoned live performer. His upcoming release, Letting Go of Who I Was Before, chronicling the dissolution of a long term relationship, is his first foray into solo artistry outside of the world of his band Plane Station.
Nick wears his influences on his sleeve. Timeless artists like Paul Simon, Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell inform his approach to confessional songwriting and serve as a bridge to his modern, song first approach to music.
Brooklyn-based indie-folk band Ditto. formed shortly after moving in together and they’ve been annoying their neighbors ever since. Their songs delve into raw and honest narratives marked by storytelling lyrics, catchy hooks, and a sincere depth of emotion.
At the core of Ditto.'s sound are two distinct yet intertwined voices, supported by an ensemble of guitars, drums and strings, creating a sound that feels both intimate and expansive. Their most recent EP Wasted Years is an ode to your 20s—the whirlwind of feeling life move on while you’re stuck in survival mode.
